Tissot Delivers A Three-Point Collaboration Seastar With The First Official WNBA Watch, Just In Time For The 2024 Draft

While I was not expecting the increased popularity here to have crossover with the watch world I love so much, here we are. And considering basketball is the only sport I obsess over as much as I do watches, Tissot's newest arrival has me interested. Today, the brand is announcing a three-way collaboration. It is one part Tissot, one part Wilson (producer of the basketball itself), and the final part WNBA – all forming the first-ever official WNBA watch. Seeing as Tissot is already the official sponsor of the NBA, this is a logical extension of that partnership.

There are two Seastar models being showcased today, but I am going to focus on the automatic variation powered by the Tissot Powermatic movement. What we have is a very thoughtful collab that feels like a truly special item. First is the colorway: A black dial and black bezel with orange accents paying homage to the basketball. The bezel isn't your ordinary dive-time display, though. Pay close attention, and you will immediately notice the number 24. No, this is not an homage to the 24 hours of Daytona, but rather the length of the shot clock.
